My name is Luciana Aguilar and I’m so beyond excited to serve my sisterhood as Phi Rhos’ VP of Recruitment for the 26-27 school year!
Being an only daughter, I had always dreamed of finding a sister– I had considered Panhellenic rush but was unsure of how engineering would limit my time. After deciding to rush Phi Rho with a random girl from my Calc 1 course, I have found a sisterhood I could’ve never imagined, and that “random girl” is now my dearest friend.
Phi Rho has been a constant during a time where as a freshman, you feel overwhelmed by the vast amounts of new possibilities, work, and social opportunities. Phi Rho has allowed me to not only grow academically and professionally, but has been the source of so many of the friendships I hold near and dear to my heart!
As recruitment gets started this fall, I invite you to come and meet our sisters, values, and the many opportunities opened by rushing Phi Rho. I am unbelievably excited and grateful to be able to guide our incoming Omicron class home!

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need to attend all recruitment events?
None of the recruitment events are required to apply, but they are all strongly encouraged. We do recommend that you go to at least one informational and a couple of social round events so we can get to know you and you can see if we are the right fit for you! Needless to say, the more events you attend and the more people you meet, the better.
2. I'm not a freshman. can I still rush?
Of course!! You are welcome to join as long as you are an undergraduate student. We've had girls join as seniors in the past!
3. What Majors do you accept?
We accept all undergraduate majors under the College of Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or Data Science.
4. what's the average time commitment?
We understand you have busy lives so we are pretty flexible with the events you are required to attend. You can ask more about this in our informationals.
