Howdy PNMs!
I’m Mikayla Sexton, and I have the joy of serving as the Vice President of Recruitment for Phi Sigma Rho at Texas A&M!
When I came to college, joining a sorority wasn’t on my radar. I didn’t think I’d find a place that blended sisterhood, academics, and real support until I found Phi Sigma Rho.
We’re not your traditional sorority; we’re a social sorority for women in engineering. From the very beginning, I felt like I’d found something truly special. Phi Rho gave me the friendships, support, and understanding I didn’t even know I was missing.
This sisterhood has become my Phi-ever family. These women are strong, smart, kind, and have been such a light in my life, from study sessions to late-night chats and everything in between. I honestly can’t picture my college journey without them.
As we head into recruitment, I’m so excited to meet you and show you the heart of Phi Rho. No matter how you’re feeling—nervous, excited, or both—we’re here for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need to attend all recruitment events?
None of the recruitment events are required to apply, but they are all strongly encouraged. We do recommend that you go to at least one informational and a couple of social round events so we can get to know you and you can see if we are the right fit for you! Needless to say, the more events you attend and the more people you meet, the better.
2. I'm not a freshman. can I still rush?
Of course!! You are welcome to join as long as you are an undergraduate student. We've had girls join as seniors in the past!
3. What Majors do you accept?
We accept all undergraduate majors under the College of Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or Data Science.
4. what's the average time commitment?
We understand you have busy lives so we are pretty flexible with the events you are required to attend. You can ask more about this in our informationals.
